I've been on this site for a bit now mainly in the 100 series section, but recently acquired a 1997 4Runner from a friend, that will hopefully take me all the places I want to go. This seems more like a land cruiser site, so thought I'd contribute as much as I can to this platform since everyone else has been so helpful in the past.

It's a 1997 4Runner with 336k miles. It's a little nicked up here and there, but it's been used for its intended purpose.

Modifications include:
Sonoran Steel Lift
SPC Upper Control Arms
285/75/16 BFG KO2 AT Tires
Grizzly Locker (Rear)
Group 27f Battery
Cobra CB
Front seats converted to manual controls

Planned modifications:
Tube bumper & winch
Rock Sliders
Vinyl Floor
Front Light Bar
Desert Sand Monstaliner
Rear storage drawer
Group 31 Battery
12v Power front and rear
12V Fridge

Planned Repairs:
Rear engine oil leak
Cargo Window & Motor
Windshield (Original is still in it!)
It's pretty well sorted out for the miles.

How do you like the Sonoran Steel lift? I am trying to decide between theirs and Toltec.

It's a great lift package. You can piece it together a lot cheaper probably, but they give you nearly everything you need. They give you extended sway bar brackets, but they looked like junk to me, so I replaced rear links with 95 4Runner (a little longer than 96+).

I can ask about the Toytec, the previous owner is a dealer for them. That's what they use on most of their builds now I believe.

I got a couple of the truck projects done.

Wired up for 12v to the rear with a BlueSea in the right rear storage compartment and hard wired fridge to the BlueSea. Had some left over interior LEDs from a PFRAN kit, installed those in the dome's and really brightened things up.

The carpet was pretty beat and I didn't want to mess with water and dirt anymore so I installed a vinyl floor in the passenger part of the vehicle (not sure what I'm doing in rear, but probably short drawers). Didn't turn out perfect due to vinyl shrinking and expanding so much with temps, but pleased for $130 from Rock Auto and about 3 hours worth of work.

Nice rig. thanks. Looking pretty seriously at Toytec.

That kit looks good. Only other thing I can think of is it lacks rear bump stops and longer sway links (if u keeping sways on). You might also consider a pan hard drop or adjustable panhard if you don't already have one.
