Hi to all,
I was driving on the road and suddenly my turn signals failed to indicate the direction. If I turn left or right turn signal it turns hazards on. I have checked the flaser unit and even after disconnecting it the problem persists. I have disconnected the turn signal switch and send direct 12v to pin 8 or 9 and instead of left of right turn signal the hazards came on. This indicates that switches are not faulty.
I have checked the wiring diagram , not being 100% sure if it fit my model (Landcruiser 70, 2.4 TD, 2L-T engine, year 1989). but there is an extra relay for hazard red lights which could be the culprit if it was shorted. The problem is that I am not able to locate it on the car. Wire colours do match with the diagram so I assume the diagram should be correct for my model.
Did anyone experienced such fault or does someone know where the hazard red indicator relay.
I have attached the wiring diagrams indicating the hazard relay.
Thank you for advices.
