Yeah it turned out pretty well and CBI products are stout. The previous owner and I were communicating a lot during his build because we were both trying to find rear bumper solutions that worked. He had a local company do a custom rear bumper that fell apart on him, and then tried the CBI without knowing how much modification would be required (it turned out to be not too bad). There is one other 460 with a CBI rear bumper that was done by Mule Expedition Outfitters, but it was a pre-facelift model with different reverse lights and rear bumper cover. Expedition Portal Classifieds: 2012 GX460I do like the CBI 4Runner bumper modded to fit. The side protectors coordinate well with the light guards on the front bumper.
I think it has only been 4 months or so. The white one built by Mule was on the market about a year ago, if I remember correctly, so that may be the one you were thinking of.That’s a bit speedy and that box is... large.
I feel like I saw this rig a year or so ago. Has it been on the market that long now?

He is talking about the rear bumper. Front is ARB, rear is CBI for a 5th gen 4Runner. Photos are above.Hey are you talking about the front or rear .. do you have pictures

I've got the cargo area cover for that GX. He is up in WA state like me. Nice guy and on GXOR as well. Traded some beer for the cover.
owner may have used it to sleep in for a bit...
Slept in for a bit as in while he was traveling in it and using it as it was built and intended, or slept in it like everyday as an alternative to a residence?
that wasnt too clear but i would interpret that as a worn interior, and that car is not intended to be slept in, its to get you where your going. barley any room in there after air matress goes in ask me how i know lol
I'm following, that said, we have slept in the back of our 5th Gen 4Runner with a 90lb dog as well, so it can be done. We aren't very big fans of RTT's so we are always looking for alternatives.
Who cares if it was slept in? Would you not buy a house because it had been slept in? Also, the self-install stuff is laughable. Once again, who cares? Bolting on parts is not rocket science. I'd honestly trust most DIYers over paid shops...I've seen some pretty janky stuff come out of professional "off-road" shops.

false equivalence dude its not a house its a car. is someone sleeps in a car for long periods of time that will greatly increase the wear on everything in there. ive never even seen the thing, im passing on warnings from somone who has seen it and drove it and decided against it for a numerous reasons. and thats personal opinion, its your money you can pay for what you want but i would not shell out that much money for the unkown. and its all about who you go to, bobs shop down the street probably does a good job while 4wp might mess it up, but you have that reciept, they have to make it right, your not out on anything. and yea definetly bolting things on is not hard but i really doubt this guy had a mechanic garage full of the right tool for the right job and parts. thats what my tacos PO said, did it on base with all the tools, guess what he put a fuse inbetwen a high output alt and the battery and almost burned my truck down, so yea even proffessionals mess up but its on them if your paying and they are on the clock. pay 50 grand for a chopped up lex is the laughable part here
