Odd one for me-- my 19 year old HDJ100 that I have driven from new and is fantastic with about 300,000km never had this issue. Was driving from Switzerland back to the UK and going up a long hill and not pushing it but I noticed the indicator ligh (bottom left and looks like engine)t and motor felt 'weak' and I thought I heard a hiss. Stopped cooled off and when restarted light was off so I continued driving slower (80kph for about 2 hours)-- no issues. I then was crossing France and pretty flat so increased speed to about 110kph and not more than 2k revs and drove for another 4+ hours and car seems completely normal. Usual consumption and power and never previously experienced this. I have driven from London to the Arctic twice in the past 2 years and this last trip of 4k km was as usual flawless except this little hiccup.
I read in Toyota manual could be over boast of turbo??
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions what this could be since it seems to have 'disappeared' or is that a false positive? Have another long trip scheduled in a few months.
Many thanks
Ed
