so my left blinker went into warp mode. Thus, i found the burnt out bulb and replaced it. however, everything is now working (all blinkers, backup lights, flashers etc) and the blinker still will not go out of turbo mode back to normal speed. Any thoughts? Should i disconnect the battery and let it reboot?
The relay needs to see the correct current draw or it sends the blinker into overdrive. The only thing that will fix the problem is the correct bulb in the socket providing the correct current draw.
So...did you put in the correct bulb and not a "stock" parts store bulb?
In my 200, the owners manual has all the light bulbs and the correct part number to use...
Make sure you replace the bulb with the exact same model bulb that was in there before. (or alternatively replace both left and right sides with the new bulbs)
Strange as it may seem, the blink rate will vary depending on the amount of current that the bulb draws. Some of those new high-tech bulbs (nighthawk, superbrite etc.) draw more current and so the side with the new bulb may blink faster than the side with the old bulb.
If you replace both the left and right bulbs with the new model, then i bet both sides will blink at the same rate.
Not sure if unplugging the battery will help,
I do not believe the blink rate is computer controlled.
