Hey.

Did Toyota ever make a 2001ish 100 series Turbo diesel with a solid front axel?
Right know I have a HDJ 81 and I'm looking to get into a 100 series. I want the turbo and I want a solid front axel.

Thanks for the help.

I live in Canada, so I should be able to import from Australia. That is why I'm looking for a 2001. Do you know what model that would be?

Yes for the 100. It's actually a 105 series. There are some European models too, so LHD.

"The 105 carried over the majority of its chassis and powertrain from the 80-series with coil suspended solid axles front and rear, and straight-6 petrol and diesel engines. These models were only sold in African, Australian, Russian, and South American markets." - Wikipedia

As for as I can tell the 100 series has a turbo but does not have a solid front axle. And the 105 series has a solid front axle but no turbo. Am I right in saying this?

One of the communication companies in Australia, Telstra, order several 105 series with the 1HD-FTE TD engines. Very rare beasts to find these days.
Many examples here of owners converting the 105 non turbo to the 1HD-FTE engine with the donor car being a independent 100 series, for the ECU and harnesses. Look on the link below.
