I have a TPI Chevy 350 with a turbo 400 to stock split case. I am having all sorts of problems with front drive shaft clearance. I am using the advanced adaptors - adaptor to put it together. I found out about the Mark's adaptor months after I had completed mine. The Mark's adaptor rotates the t-case to help with clearance. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fit my front shaft back on with out having serious concerns about smashing the trans. The way I positioned the drive train, I am going to need to lenghten my front shaft approximatly 5-6 inches. The double cardian joint rubs against the pan and won't fully rotate. Is it OK (acceptable) to turn the shaft so the double cardian side is at the axle? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

There are a few solutions. One is to use a smaller yoke and transfer side u-joint. I think AA sells them.

Woody runs a two piece driveshaft on his. Run a search on his set up.

My shaft was close enough to barely hit. I cut the corner off the pan and welded it back together. I have more clearance than some because I am running a doubler, a SOA and a square d-shaft. I could clear my TH400 just fine if I ran the shorter trans pan.

I don't know about the double carden on the diff side.

Do you know if the smalll flange drive shaft is a complete setup new U-joint size, or just a smaller flange same size u-joint?
