Wider track and clearance can be had with lower wheel offsets right? Just trying to figure out if this is something of a must have performance mod in the future...
Don't forget that using wheel offset also solves the rear track width, unlike tundra arms, where you’d need to run spacers in the back.I have the same question as Obi Wong. I appreciate the answer about different impacts on scrub radius. But I’d love to dig deeper into differences and hear input from those smarter than me about which differences actually matter in practical terms (not just a few % points of undetectable theoretical gain).
1.Instinct tells me longer arms and bigger offsets are stronger vs just lower offset wheels.
2. Longer arms would give some additional lift height vs same track width achieved solely via wheel offset.
3. Longer arm puts more leverage on shock. Different motion ratio.
4. Longer arm gives room for longer shock.
5. Lower wheel offset is much quicker, easier, and cheaper. (Longer arms restrict wheel and tire width options to a degree.)
6. Tundra parts are cheaper if something needs to be replaced.
Thoughts? Am I missing (or misunderstanding) anything? Thanks!
