Ok, I'm trying to mount a set of 16" Tundra Baja wheels onto my '87
ex-tra cab truck. My question is, do I need some kind of spacers for
the front. Or, are the, i'll call them tabs, supposed to be the stop for
the wheel. Seems weak to me, if I need them, what kind do I need
and how much of a spacer?
Thanks for the help.

The backspacing on the tundra wheels is the deciding factor. You need a backspacing of 3.5" for your mini truck, so if the backspacing on the tundra wheels is 4.5", you need a 1" spacer. If the backspacing is 5.5", you need a two inch spacer.

The tundra rims are also hubcentric, so you'll need to research that as well.

Spacers can be had from any most off-road company. I've had good luck with spidertrax and the ones marlin crawler carry.

Ok, I went to summit today and picked up some 1.25" spacers, billet alum. This seems to work very well. The "tabs" in the center of the wheel sit right at the lip of the outer ring of the hub. I just need to decide if I'm going to put them on the back, the fronts sit out a little more now of course.

I will try to get one tomorrow, they are the tabs, for lack of a better word, that the center caps click into. Then the retaining ring is put on inside. Without the caps they don't have a purpose. However if you tighten down your lug nuts without a spacer you can just snap em right off.
Don't ask how I know.
