jusrt looked in my 4x4 and off road mag that came today and saw that they have developed tube doors that fit in place of the stock doors no mod just bolt it up and go. they look pretty sweet. ill look for pics and see what i can come up with for you guys but they look sweet. i think the mag said that they were at the sema show and that they were going to release pouches to strap to the tubes.

You're probably talking about the mt doors. Here is what I did last May. Tube Doors are finished...

yeah wat Lucas said

those are sick!!!!

Would certainly improve the horrible visibility on the trail.

I don't like them. I'll probably catch hell for this but they look to me like it's trying too hard to be a Jeep. They don't match the body lines at all and they just don't look like they belong.

No worries... Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. In my case, this was not a cosmetic mod, but a functional necessity mod. If you wheel your FJC at all you will quickly realize that you cannot see crap due to the door height. Tube doors were my solution to be able to see where I was going.

I like em'! I am sure it improved you view 100X over, I would like them for the summer's also

Are you talking about Sol's or Metal techs? I think Sol's a pretty sweet. The Metal Teach ones do look "jeep-ish", but they are being mass made, vs the one off that Sol has.

how easy are they to swap back and forth with the stock doors, they would be awesome to have on the trails but I use mine as a daily driver as well and wouldnt want to leave my truck wide open like that at all times.

an Open rig will give you FJC Guys more of the Nastalga of the 40 Series. Rain, Mud, and dirt anways on your seats, and Stuff Stolen when you return to your truck.. ;)

Tube Doors are Killer on the trail.. Great Visibility, Open Smell of the Outdoors, and you wont trash your hard doors!

Its a 20 min swap with help. Taking the stock doors off alone is pretty tough if you don't want to ding anything. But, with an assistant, it really easy. The most time sucking part is detaching the electrical connection for the speakers/window/door locks in the kick plate. Once that is done, its a matter of a handful of bolts on each side.

Not saying the rig is secure, but the alarm does still work with the tube doors on. If the alarm is set and someone opens the doors, it will go off. Doesn't stop someone from reaching in but, unless they knew about it, I'd doubt they wouldn't just open the door if someone had "bad intentions"...

But the dust can get in even with the AC on recirculate... :)
