Looking for a nice place to take the family in our hotel on wheels next weekend.

Looking for:
Hookups: elec, water, and sewer would be nice.
Kid friendly.
Pregnant wife friendly (hence the travel trailer)
Must allow fire to roast marshmallows.
Dog friendly.
Prefer less than 3 hours from Rio Rancho

I've already googled and searched ad nosium... looking for personal info from people that've camped before.

Oh, anyone that wants to join us is welcome (and a bit crazy bcuz we have 4 kids 5 & under).

Any help is appreciated.

Do you have a list of places that you would like personal opinions one?

You can go to virtually any of the state parks and have electrical hookups but reservations are highly recommended, Every lake has electrical and sewer also. There are some very nice RV parks in Red River and Taos but it may still be a bit cool up there.

Check out the Cochiti campgrounds. I was there this past weekend and there were a ton of RVs there.

When we take the trailer out it is typically for primitive camping at the lake, well as primitive as a 30' fifth wheel with a generator will let us get anyway.
