Just to let y'all know I have my graphic designer working on re-creating the current logo and designing a totally new logo. I am waiting on her to get back with me on how much it will cost to design them though.

sounds good....dang did not know you were going to spend money. i thought about having my brothers artists (2 of them) clean up the current logo. I had not thought about getting them to come up with a new one completely but will see what he might charge me for their work....maybe I can bribe him with booze or take him downtown for a lapdance. LOL.....artists would be cheaper I am sure.

okay......i am leaning more and more for cleaning up the current logo...personally.
That's cool. If you want to go that route then let me know for sure so I can tell my designer.

If we go by the poll I posted a while ago which is in first post of this thread......The current logo with or without slight modifications have 7 votes and change it completely has 1 vote.
Unless more people vote and it changes the numbers radically I am going to motion that by Friday we recount and move forward with improving the clarity and sharpness of our current logo. If in a couple years we want to do a full rework like UC did on theirs....we can try again at that time.
Any comments?

I'll follow suit with clearing it up and rolling along.....At the least, drop the shadow and go white - at the most, maybe strengthen the border too....

Yes, the little red UC sticker was to show a tie but will cost more for reproduction on tshirts, stickers, etc as it brings a whole new host of colors onboard. I have it clearly displayed on our website and also comments we are a subchapter of the Upstate Cruisers so I do not think there is a problem with that. I will confirm with UC BOD to make sure.....so lets hold off until Friday with action until in case other comments are forthcoming...then we can start rolling the ball on these two items.
I have an image from our tshirts that has the border shading removed along with the UC red spot already. Only thing will need to be done is change background and maybe lighten up contrast in FJ40 depending on how large we go with it.
I have attached it to the thread...for your review. It is much bolder and brighter in original file but cant access my photo posting site from work and is too large to attach as original is over 3000 pixels. BBQBOY or others, if you want to see it in original resolution I can send it to you. I have most of your addresses in distribution list on our club email account for the officers. Let me know.
One detail not shown on this is the statement A DIVISION OF THE UPSTATE CRUISERS that is to the left of the red UC logo along coastline. We will be keeping that statement if we are allowed to remove the red logo alone. If you want to see the original approved logo then go to the club webpage...and you can see the shadowing and the UC logo and chapter information.

the ones I have are all JPG I believe.... I will look to see if they sent me the layered file with colors broken out and such.
The UC sticker is the old one anyway.

Can there be options for the type of shirts?? I'm not a huge fan of the pocket t-shirt. I saw somewhere that long sleeve t shirts might be available.

I think we should finalize a design and then I will get it approved by Upstate Cruisers....then we can determine style of shirts and colors of shirts...or white. Agreed? Before we can do anything other than design changes and such David and/or I need to give our design to UC to approve.
