What was the diesel engine that came in the US spec mini diesel? Can they be found to swap into a mini?

There was the normally aspirated 2L and the turbo charged 2LT. Low mileage imports can be had on ebay... maybe try car-part, too.

Hard to find a complete diesel truck, I was after one forever. Found one 2L 2WD truck, passed on it. Then heard about a 2L 4x4, wanted it bad and the guy the manages the local salvage yard knew me really well and knew I wanted one. He told me about it because they had towed it due to the owner being too drunk to drive. One day it ended up in the salvage yard with no problems at all, but by the time I heard about it the truck was pretty much stripped.
Another one went through the same yard, another 2WD. It was too beat.

I wonder how hard it would be to drop a 4Runner body on a 4x4 frame to get a 2L powered 4Runner?
