Anyone removed the troopy roof fully to get at it proper? Did you cut horizontally from the line of fuel filler hole just behind front seat proximity? Did you remove corking and drill spot welds on the gutter? How heavy was the roof approx? Two person lift? Any pics?

There is rust between each of the layers, gutter, roof and main support cavities. Lots of rust between gutter and actual roof, quite a few spots where rust has eaten right through support cavity. Pretty nasty, this is the good side! The otherside has daylight through half of the length. Can see the factory roof join. Making my own gutter from 1.6mm box tube, much cheaper and stronger than pre-made rust panels..not as neat but it is for the bush. If I wasn't living in the most lockdown city in the world, I would not have gone here. But stuck on a little desert island with a cheap wreck and spanners and a welder guess gives me a job.

More troopy anatomy..looking forward to stop discovering rust one day. I'll just keep cutting it out, at least steel is relatively cheap, but it shall go up in price too.

By no means not the best panel beater, but I shall get all the rust out. Bit of a jigsaw puzzle. Hopefully helps someone or lets you know what your in for. The box tube gutter is coming along, I'll use some high build to neaten it a bit, probably just brush on spray putty as I have to mind the neigbour..

Cobbling the front rain gutter back together, building up spot welds and patches then grinding back until the integrity is back.
Sitting ontop of the tools.
