Got mine installed.

My tip is to barely start all the screws into the well nuts first. Not sure how you get the double flat washers in there all the way around without doing so.

First line of instructions made me feel better about buying a $240 piece of something nice

what is the difference between Line X and Richlite?

I have them on both 100s, including my hunting rig. Yeti coolers sliding in and out for two years, zero damage. They're not cheap but totally worth it. Wish I could afford their drawers, those look amazing!

They are great covers, but I found the line x to be too slippery, so I added Sea Dek on top. Not the toughest material, but more comfortable to sit or kneel on and my GWP is happy to jump on the tailgate now.

snaps didnt pop off or get in the way? dragging a yeti cooler over them etc?

I didn't opt for the snaps and cover on my 100. I have the second oldest cover made by TrekBoxx. The very oldest one was owned by David @TrekboxX and used the cover and snaps - zero issues as well. He built a very sturdy product. Could you damage a snap? I suppose so but you'd really have to go out of your way and they are replaceable if damaged. They are really not in the line of fire for cargo.

@Fisher67 Agree that Linex has some slippery texture if wet. I've found it to grippy when dry. Good solution for your needs with SeaDeck.

@Madadder Linex in general is used in applications where surface damage resistance is desired. It's most often equated with truck bedliners. The Linex in Trekboxx applications is also blended with a special UV resistance so the color stays after years of use and sunshine. Richlite is a phenolic material generally seen in high end cutting boards. It make s fantastic work surface, is anti microbial and can be refinished. Both Linex and Richlite are expensive AF. :)

Now i'm thinking for me a combo of the HDPE plus something like the seadeck would be best. we will be using it mostly at the beach, and i have a german shepherd so that might help him grip good. good for the butt, feet, and doggie. thx for y'alls help and pics!

they make a piece of SeaDeck that big or need to get in sections? great idea
I found it on eBay. $60 and you have to cut the wing sections, but very easy.

many color choices. You can get a custom piece made, but pricey!

Very nice. How did you attach the SeaDek?

Nevermind just saw that it's backed with 3M adhesive!

Why not get the tailgate cover in richlite with the snap on pad - done!

The pad has enough grip on it for your shepard - @TrekboxX has 100lb Husky that jumps on his pad to get in the truck.

If you look back in the 100 tailgate cover thread, I tried Sea Deck. It's maybe good for barefoot humans on a boat, but it would not in my opinion hold up to any real abuse. As @RobRed noted, our dog tries hard to destroy everything. The Sea Deck would last about 5 minutes. Another note on material- HDPE is junk. It's weak, scratches easily, and warps badly. Do whatever you like, but use good, long-lasting materials or be prepared to replace them often or live with ugly.

@TrekboxX how wear resistant is that cushion and does it have any kind of warranty? thanks!

It’s incredibly tough. My 100 (recently sold) still had the original prototype unit that was installed in early 2017. I was not nice to it- loading gear, standing on it, using it as a ground mat for kids, dogs, and shooting- it looked used but lost no integrity. I offer a 2 year warranty on everything but I’d be very surprised if you can hurt this stuff. Here is the most recent pic I have showing the cover. It’s dirty, and you can wipe or hose it off easily.
