Pretty uneventful today.

1st the weather was so warm that I was hot wearing a Jacket. Then we met with Pete and the forest service guys and it got cold and started snowing, then cleared up and got warm. Then by the time I was on my way home through Woodland Park you could barely see anything.

There wasn't anybody getting stuck anywhere so we just played around. The Forest service guy (can't remember his name) pointed out 300U and 300V as something that would interest us. 300V ended up being quite exciting for some of us. We spent a lot of the day on those 2 roads alone. Thanks to everyones hard work and good spotting helping me get out of there in 1 piece. :D

Someone's got pics...

No problem, I will send them tonight from home.

Another run at..

Well I won't be able to get out much on Saturday the 8th. Too many irons in the fire! I would like to tag along on Sunday if anyone is going to be out then. I should have an Aussie locker in the rear by then and would like to give it a test.

How did it go up there today guys? I'm going to head up tomorrow morning - should be fun with the new snow!

Yeah, what's the snow report from up there today?

EricG, I'll be there tomorrow as well, anyone else?. See ya at the Western at 8:30.

I've been toying with the idea of going up Rampart Range Road - but I'm not sure I really want to get up that early :p

Yeah, I was thinking about that months ago too, but that would probably add about 2 hours to the drive. Depending on how snowed in the road is along the way I guess...

Anyway, we're just going to shoot up 24 - I'm sure we'll get plenty of miles on the forest roads by the end of the day, haha.

Sorry I couldn't make it today guys. Had a couple things come up at the house that had to be taken care of.

Had an uneventful day in the middle section at least. Seems the weather scared off alot of people, but didn't give enough snow to make it really interesting. Still - it was a nice day of just cruising around on the snow covered roads.

Apparently there was somebody stuck in the mud off-trail past the end of 325B. The forest service guys asked us to steer clear - there may have been some citations involved. My guess is that it was probably near where we pulled that F150 out last year that was frozen in up to the axles.

Going up tomorrow. Anyone else going ? Given the weather, travel in groups appears advisable.

Stock 100 on 285s with chains on all four. I figure I should be able to get around.

I'll be there - for the morning at least. Will be collecting our own tree in the afternoon.

Small turn out - Darryl, Mark & I. And uneventful. Whover goes up tomorrow - ask about the silver dodge crewcab down on 325B. Saw it there first at 1:00, was still there at 3:30 with nobody in sight.
