I bought a pre-owned 2010 5.7 Tundra with the TRD Supercharger installed. There was no mention of the supercharger in the owner manual or in any of the paperwork. Is there any maintenance required, other than checking the coolant and keeping the air filter clean? Anything I need to watch for? The Toyota dealerships I have been to don't know S*%^ about superchargers!

It was a dealer or home-installed ad-on...that's probably the reason it's not in your paperwork. The TRD website should have everything you need for it in terms of service though.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the TRD site. Does anyone have any first hand experience with the TRD Supercharger on a 5.7 Tundra?

make sure that it got the ecu reflash for the s/c install. all the dealership has to do is a health check and look at the calibration id. if it was done at a dealership it should have been relfashed at the time of install, if it was a home install job it should have been taken to the dealership for the reflashe.

not a problem. those s/c are rare, ive onle seen one in my dealership and it was getting shipped out of country, how do you like it should add a little get up and go

It's peppy! There's not a stock Mustang or Vet on the road that can touch it (long as there are no curves). I traded an '08 with a 5.7 for this pre-owned '10. The price was right, so I didn't even look under the hood at the dealership. I was quite surprised when I got home and saw an $8,000 option that wasn't even listed on the paperwork. The only downfall is you have to use premium gas, otherwise, it clatters like it's full of ballbearings.

using premimum is a small price to pay for a nice sleeper truck. kinda supprised the dealer wouldnt even mention the option, may want a boost guage for something else to watch when ya mat it.

That has got to be fast! I've got an 11' tundra with a stock 5.7 and I thought that had a lot of power... Post a video
