I have TRD pro wheels from a Tundra and wanted to get a 5th one for a spare. Tires are 275/65/18. I briefly tried to fit the spare and it fits but does not get tight to the frame - it seems to rattle around. I did not have a chance to see what is going on, but the OEM 20" wheel fits tight.

Has anyone modified the spare location so the TRD spare fits tight and does not rattle?

What year is your LC? My OEM 18" is snug on a 2013. Check the orientation of the new wheel under the truck, wheel face should be up and perhaps double check the center lifting bracket for correct placement / fitment.

Let your wheel down again and make sure you're clearing the "bump" that the front-most part of the tire sits behind when raised. I wonder if you're on top of the bump when you cranked your wheel up...and then it bounced loose, leaving slack...? If you lower the tire and take it off the chain...and crawl under there, you'll see what "bump" I'm talking about. Could be you just need to clear that in order to get it flat and snug behind it.
