Yeah, saw it in the update thread. I wonder if they will come out with some TRD parts like sliders and such for the US market.

I wondered if it was posted somewhere else. It would be interesting to see the specs on their front lift.

What good is that "brush guard"? I see no benefit/protection using that whatsoever.

Bling

That's sweet! I'll take it!

Why are they 20" wheels though?

Clearly a HAMBURGER provides more bumper protection...

The brush guard up front is a damage multiplier. That way Toyota makes more money selling you new front end parts.
The big rims are a throw-back to the attraction of humans to large, shiny things - and they have a deal with BFG to sell you really expensive tires.

We had a great discussion with the Project Manager (Engineer) and US marketing staff. Many points echoed our meeting with Sadayoshi Koyari (Cheif Engineer of Land Cruiser) at Cruiser Fest in that we are not going to see any special edition or spartan model (poverty package) 200's in the US anytime soon. The US sales volume is just too low and the Tacoma and 4Runner are killing it... Toyota has no desire to introduce another model (70 Series included) given increasing CAFE standards and the cost to roll-out additional models in our market. On a personal level, I'm excited to see them at least toying with some OE accessories for the 200 in the US. While the front bar work was a little odd and the steps were just that, it is a start and I'd totally dig a OE snorkel when available. And factory tuned suspension, yeah... that wouldn't suck either.

bummed about the sliders steps LOL; I started a tread before I seen this one; the biggest reason I was asking was due to the fact that the running board is all one piece now etc. So hey did you get to to see what they used for the from suspension etc? was it exactly the Tundra parts?

Anyone know if that is a custom silver or the stock LC silver?

Would love to see a real front bumper protection option, some more functional side steps/sliders, lighting mounts, and LC specific TRD wheel options. I think this is a great starting point even if I would buy exactly none of the things they outfitted the SEMA car with. It's definitely a step in the right direction though

Not going to come from Toyota. They would have to do crash testing == $$$$$

You're right. But that strange front bar they showed is literally worse than a conventional OEM front bumper haha

Yeah, most of the TRD branded stuff on that SEMA vehicle belittles them. It's unfortunate.
