anyone have some links they want to share?
i have done a search and all i come up with is pics of them already installed...
cheers

Sounds like you have a new project?

yah, i have a cab and chassis that i want to finish off and i have decided a trayback might look cool...
if anyone has links please shoot them off to me...
PLEASE.
cheers

thanks for th elinks KKT, i love the drawer system, i was thinking of that but wasn't sure how it would look.. sweet. i also like the hoop for the rear that is removable.
so here is an idea i have, what do you think?
make 5 recieve pockets in the floor for the headache rack bars. 3 side by each at the fotn on in the middle, one in the rear.
when you want a full canvas cover then move each of hte bars to their repsctive holes and when not in use they are all at the front like a 3 runner roll bar. or they can be removed completely. the soft top can be int eh drawer when not in use.
i also like the tail light protectors and the tie down rods along side the box...
so far these just ideas, i willhave to do a doodle...
cheers and thanks again for the links...

KKT, are you thnking of buying one of the traybacks from Aussie or making your own?
for the price i am thinking it would be hard to beat picking one up from down under...

Traybacks are so boring. You should make something like a step side. Take an original box, narrow it to the inside of the wheel wells, use two sets of front fenders to make each of the rear fenders.

You get the idea. It would look really good on a 75. It would look awesome on a 45. In fact, I can think of a candidate 45 ;P.

hummm, thinking outside the box again, eh?
i never even considered that idea, i could really warm to that...

so i went and did some measuring and the box, if i did a step side, would only be 40" wide X 72" long. it might look cool but i can not see how it would be practicle...
hummm

Heres a thought I put a modular system on my 45. the bed has 3 way fold down removable sides. then I have pockets in the rear and front for an overhead rack/basket that can be used when more space is needed. Then at some point I'm going to buid a lumber rack that attatches in the same fashion. The pic with the wood sides is old but you can see the O/H rack. the new sides are the x-panded metal.
some pics..

I saw this one not too long ago .I liked the checkerplate lining in the tray and the easy access to the spare wheels.
I hope someone dont like his fridge too much either. Those thing can walk:D

i think if i was to loose the space the tires are taking up i would extend the cab instead...
nice pic and definately a different idea...

Nice job

Thanks guys. It works really well and is tough off road so I don't have to worry about crushing it when I drag it accross stuff  .

I like the Aussie style trays there light weight and veritile, just too wide/long for my taste.

i do not mind wide but i want the trayback to be 6' max for length. i would love to incorporate the rack up above like yu did. maybe make the rack out of aluminum so i could remove it easiy...
have the posts removable as well... and 3 hoops (or maybe only 2) insert where the uprights are situated for a canvass top...
