Hey Wayne and fellas,

http://www.etreici.blog.com/
this fella by the name of Matthieu is from quebec and i met him early last year, somehow i tried finding him a clean diesel 60 in the gta, but to no avail... he eventually found the red one from the east coast. his plan then was to find one and head waaay south...now he's living the dream and is somewhere around belize or further, in french though

Bugsy and His Bandits
this fella, i met close to 5 years ago...he was looking for a rig to head, guess where? s.america as well! with his fam. well, he found this 60 in windsor and i remember meeting him in kingston and drove it (loong before i had my cruiser). we've kept in touch since. and now he's living the dream. turns out he knows of Mike and Bruce in kingston as well. amazing photojournalism!

and here's probably one of the oldest expedition website, couple left home in 1984 to travel the world in an 82 fj60 and have called their fj60 home, has all sorts of records set on this epic and neverending journey..

Worldrecordtour, Index, Start, Begin, Overview, Guinness Book of World Records, Toyota, LandCruiser, Emil Schmid, Liliana Schmid

Epic Journeys - Longest Driven Journey

was just thinkin Wayne, if there's anyone (like yourself or that fella you're building that troopy to travel with around the continent with) worth getting build/travel tips with regards to living in a cruiser, these guys would be it! i know they use padlocks for all their doors, have been broken into many times, and i'm sure have seen more lemon situations than anyone else in the world, lol. the 2F hit over 600K k's till it was finally rebuilt.

anyway, makes for some nice winter blues reading...

cheers.
