I've got a 96 TLC with 147k and have had no transmission problems. Recently when the transmission shifts down from OD to 3rd there is a brief vibration or shudder that you can feel through body and gas peddle. This is a new feeling and just started happening in the last 300 miles.
This shudder happens when:
1. I'm going up a hill and the transmission downshifts.
2. I punch the gas and the transminssion downshifts.
3. I turn off the overdrive manually.
I've recently had the transmission fluid checked.
Any ideas??
P.S.
Additionally, it got down to 10 degrees here in VA recently and when the LC was relatively cold and I was trying to go up a slight grade at 45, the engine started reving and the transmission was not responding. The transmission was "slipping". I attributed this to cold tranny fluid at the time but it may be related. It's been warmer and this hasn't happened since...
