Hi ih8mud community,

I have 08 sequoia platinum. Its not going into reverse when cold but shifts in drive mode fine. I kept in start and moved down from drive way on flat surface, after transmission fluid temperature reaches to mid level then it shifts into rerverse normally. I started again and workd fine because transmission fluid temp guage was in middle. Do you think it could be due to low transmission fluid? Should i go for transmission flush ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Update:- Just got back from dealership service center. It is shifting very normal. I shifted into reverse even when cold. I believe fluid level could have been issue. They used 3 quartz and total charge was $105.

Thanks for coming back to update the thread and post the solution! Glad it worked out

Did they tell you anything like it was low????

No it has a plug for measuring fluid levels underneath. This is pretty common with old fluid on these transmissions. A drain and fill usually helps.
Right! Been there done that, I just looked at the video you posted that said 08-19 and it showed a dipstick on the truck. :cautious:
