I am needing the shifter and linkage for a fj60 transfer case. it was mated to a 4 speed fj60 tranny if that helps. transmission had the shifter but transfer case did not.

is this for a stock assembly? there are 2 different versions of the shifter, mostly the length.

as far as stock, yes I guess so. it is the setup that came on a fj60 from the factory. I am using it with a 350 to go in a fj 40. not sure if that is what you are asking or not but thanks for any input you can give me

The transmission in 1985 had a spacer behind it which effects the shifter length..
let me see if I can figure out if it had a spacer or not. is there another way to find out what year the transfer case and tranny was from.

Take a picture and post it or do a search.. Its pretty obvious. The transfer cases had larger idler shafts in the later years but I don't know the cut off dates. FJ62 cases have several differences- a vacuum shifter being the main one, the arms on the shifters were different as well..

thanks, I will do that this evening.

dumb question here but if I need the shifter for the t case and not the actual transmission, does it still matter if I have the one that had the spacer or the one without

sorry just reread your post so dis regard my dumb question

Yes. The spacer determines which t-case lever you need.

i might be able to help depending on what linkage you need. I have an 85' fj60 parts truck with a stock trans and T-case. where are you located?
