Transfer Case high range underdrive gear?

Look like Marks 4wd do a few different sets with 8% underdrive for the older 40/60/70 models:

First, there's no such thing as excessive when it comes to Landcruisers! Second, the equation to determine the correct number of Landcruisers that a person should own = current # of Landcruisers + 1. Third, you can never have too many Landcruisers!

We've sent out a handful to 100 owners, some 100 cases do require a replacement input shaft and some minor parts along with that. All stuff we have. I'll see if I can get one of them to post their thoughts

Im in a middle of putting in a UD gear. Do you have the part # for the replacement input shaft. Or can i used one of the input shaft from the 80 series

I did finished the install with the 10% UD and 3.11 Low range gears. I ended up used the 80s series input shaft and idler shaft. So overall, the whole regear the transfer cost twice as much as i initially anticipated. The 10% UD gear is equivalent to 4.72 final drive gear and that is pretty much perfect for run 35s tires.
Here is the chart for the gear. I know it said for 80 series but 100s series is the same.

So overall, the whole regear the transfer cost twice as much as i initially anticipated. The 10% UD gear is equivalent to 4.72 final drive gear and that is pretty much perfect for run 35s tires.

@azngarage 80s series input shaft and idler shaft is from the 80s tc or did you buy the kit from cruiseroutfitter? 4.72 final drive is it with both low and high gears changed? thanks

I end up using a used input shaft and idler shaft from 80s tc. But if I know how fragile the stock 4.3 gear on the front diff, I would have regear to 4.88s instead.
With the higher low range and 10% UD, I end up putting more torque and stress on the already weak front diff. Lord and behold, I end up grenade the front stock 4.3 gear a month later. IMHO, regear to 4.88s is a better option.

Sorry this happened to you. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it was my understanding that 4.88s do not make the front diff stronger, rather it’s the air locker / e locker which adds strength to the front diff.

what year is your cruiser, and what size tires are you running?

2 pinion front diff and 35 are a lot more weight and grip.
