Transfer case gear swap

I have a '78 t-case with trashed gears. Can gears/shafts be swaped from an early '75 case? Can they be mixed? This will be going into an 8/75 with H41. Thanks

'78 and 75 have the same gear sets. Better not to mix gears from two cases.
