Hmm...I would be suspicous of that. 'Big maintenance work' could just be a full fluild change, new brake pads/rotors, maybe grease the driveshafts, etc...It obviously *should* include the front and rear axle work, but unless you specifically know that was done I would doubt it. I know at a Toyota dealership in Ohio (Brunswick Auto Mart), they didn't have the first clue about what to do. I went in there asking for parts for my '97, all the parts to do the 60K mile rear axle service. I got a blank stare. I asked what they did in their shop for a 60K rear axle service, he said, and I quote "Check the brakes, check the gearlube, if it looks bad, then put in new", I asked if they repacked the wheelbearings, he said no, not unless there are signs they need it.wb1948 said:It has a 130,000 miles and according to the buyer had the "big maintance work" done at 100,000.
