Tranny temp gauge

After throwing a lot of dough into my slushbox, i figure a real temp gauge is in order to make sure i dont kill my tranny. Those of you with auxilary temp guages, where did you put the sensor and also where did you stick the gauge? Has anyone on here been able to use the stock sending unit for the idiot light?

I found a thread were someone referenced temp sensors that came threaded so you can use them to just replace the drain plug. That sounds bomb to me, anyone got a link for something like that?

My gauge is on hte out up line from the trany. It is out of the way and messures the temp at its highest.

I have one in my slush box even if you don't use Rodney's set up he gives a good write up on a temp gauge.
if you don't already you should also install anexternal tranny cooler as well.

Ive got a big honkin cooler already on my rig. How much did that setup set you back?

somewhere alittle over 200 to my door from Oz. it took about a week to get.
