Hey guys today I went to the Amsoil store and picked up all all sorts of goodies. I want to baseline my LX and I have always liked Amsoil. When it comes to tranny fluid I got the torque drive full synthetic.

Which is Dexron III compliant.

When I search on MUD often I see that the Amsoil OE Multi-Vehicle Synthetic fluid is often recommended because its Dexron III and Toyota Type T-III and T-IV.

Is the stuff I got going to be ok for a drain and fill. Also, for the life of me I can't find a transmission drain and fill write up on here. I would like to pull the pan as well. I have never owned an auto before so this is all new to me. I am used to just removing a drain and fill plug. Thanks for the help guys.

Before jumping on check that you don't need to use WS fluid. You would know if you can not find the dipstick under the hood. It started in 2004. Yes you can drain fill the WS fluid.

Sorry it was real late when I posted last night and wasn't thinking. I forgot to mention my LX is a 2000 and does not use WS fluid.

After my research, I stuck with the Mr. T formula recommended T-IV.

One drain and fill doesn't really amount to a hill of beans.... But with that same note, Id rather have the 20% fluid I take out and replace match the other 80% that's in there.

Hey guys, would this be OK for transmission flush in my LX 470? I picked up I think 4 q for transmission pan drop/drain and refill?

Thanks

I saw this same fluid at walmart today for 12 bucks a gallon

I am about to start doing several drain and fill procedures. I think I need to do 5 to get 90% of the fluid changed over

If this stuff is ok it will save me 200 bucks over mobile 1

IMO Going cheap usually ends up with biting you in the end. Take it to Toyota and don't worry about it.

I've used that fluid on our 2000 with good results.
