I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I am new to the forum and searched for UT trails and was able to find some individual trips that said from where to where they were going but not specific routes. I'm wondering if there is anywhere on the site or what Web sites you use to plan things from the weekend getaway to planning an expedition with what time of year they open and a difficulty rating? I would like to find more than a bunch of dead end trails (but those would be welcome too). Kinda like a backwoods map quest from state to state.

If you've moved, and wanted to meet some people, a 4x4 club would be one way to do it. It looks like there are 2 clubs in Utah with Mud forums. https://forum.ih8mud.com/categories/clubhouses.144/ Red Rock Cruiser doesn't appear to be close to SLC. Wasatch Cruisers might be based in Sandy. Their Mud forum is closed, and Google searches didn't come up with much about them. As best I could find they are somehow affiliated with Cruiser Outfitters, and that company seems to have some involvement in Sandy. (For a public entity, I was not impressed with their lack of available information.)

Anyhow, it would be a place to start.

I've never been in a 4x4 club either. Perhaps I should follow my own advice.

Just registered on Utah 4x4 club. Maybe something will shake loose. I'll keep looking for more clubs. At least now I have the links you sent and one I found in one place. Knowing where to find the answers and having options are good things! Thank you
