Trailer wiring

I'm trying to figure out how to wire my 69 fj40 to tow a trailer. I searched but only could find one other forum about this and it was for a 1980 which has different tailights then mine. I think I could probably figure out which wires to tap into but I don't want to hack up my harness.
So what is the best/cleanest way to wire in a 4 pin trailer connection on a 69 fj40?

I think coolerman makes a harness or at least sells the connectors .... something like that... may even say in that thread

hiya, when you do it. I would also suggest the kit that allows you to run a line to the pos terminal of your battery for brighter trailer lights. made a world of difference on mine.

I read on the posted thread that it's not needed for pre 74 fj40s?
