Bummer? I must not make sense :D

The trailer never died, it evolved.....same underpinnings more junk on top.... - here it is year before last , it got all the stickers as we criss-crossed North America a decade ago (just getting to Seattle is 2000 mile drive :grinpimp:)

The camping box section comes off and I abuse it as a flatbed regularly.....

The tires are getting OOOoooold so I think I'm going to modify it for Toyota/Chev 6 hole pattern this year, throw some 235's on it and drag it off into the wilderness behind the Zuk (same one towing the trailer from the video, although it evolved too lol)

Well I take back then... Un-Bummer! :D That is actually pretty awesome. I'm really digging the ability to go back and forth from flab bed to cargo box.

the flatbed is REALLY useful. The topper may have to be replaced - it's been out in the elements for 15 years now - I wish I had video of hauling out that Subaru carcass - it would put my other video to shame - :D I think the trailer/carcass combo was more than 50% of the stock Suzuki. I have put as much as 2300 pounds (a weighed pallet, not a guess) of load on it. The only "mod" I ever have done to the suspension was to add gas shocks - there are no shocks in the video, you can see it was bit bouncy but it rode MUCH better than the tow rig lol.

How tall was that box anyway? Bummer what happen by the way!

At the front it is 3.5' and at the back it is 4'.

It looked taller than that! I hope mine that I'm building isn't to tall at 3' + I ended up with 2' of ground clearance. I have a pretty wide stance on mine, with the wheel spacers it's exactly as wide as my 4Runner.

I'd love to have the ability to flip between the two styles, but for me it was to much work to make it happen. So good job to you cause that's no easy task when it's done right.

I remember loading that Subaru hulk on the trailer. Was pretty fun watching it bounce on down the trail out to where the National guard could get to it. We hauled a lot of scrap out of the woods that day. ;)
