I have a small tractor (Kubota 2650) with a 5' bushhog and front end loader. Not a very big tractor...total weight is under 2500lbs.

Any of you tow a small tractor with your LC/LX? Looking for trailer options. I think I can probably just use a 18' car hauler.

Thoughts/ideas or recommendations? Am I nuts?

I have a B2920 TLB similar to yours but the BH makes it heavier. I pulled it with an 18' trailer and my old 4runner. I haven't needed to move it with the LC but wouldn't think twice about doing it. Drive it on, chain it down and go!

I'm considering this trailer in 18'...I suppose I better get out there and measure this tractor and bushhog combo.

That's very similar to what I had when I had my compact tractor. I towed it from SC to NH no problem with a Tacoma. Definitely invest in a sway control hitch if you're going to cover any long distance.

LC/LX will pull 8000 lb+ with tongue weight of 800 lb so your little tractor on a trailer no issue. As for trailer a Simple Utility trailer will work as long as you find one rated for say 2500lb. Below is example of trailer from Tractor Supply that you can buy it does not meet your load rating and may not be wide enough or long enough. Alternate option if you do not want to buy something you can rent from Uhual or Home Depot or any other trailer rental place.

Haul larger loads with the Tractor Supply 5.5' X 10' Square Carry-On Trailer. This quality square trailer has a tube top, rail wood floor and easily attaches to that back of your truck.
Dimensions: 5.5' X 10'
Max Load Capacity: 2,076 lb.
Square Tube Top Rail

Personally I would use a dual axle low boy style trailer with load ramps. That is how we pull my dads tractor around.

Another thing besides overall length is correct placement on trailer of weight. Trailer wheel location will dictate where the load shall go. Just my .02.

I've had a Triton UT-12-2 trailer that I have towed behind numerous vehicles, including my current LX570. Kubota BX23s fits snugly. It's aluminum, torsion axles, and surge disc brakes so I can use it with just about any vehicle. It's gross weight is 6k but as it's all aluminum it weighs 1k so the net load is 5k. Most steel 7k trailers I looked at weigh 1800-2100lbs so the usable capacity is just about equal.

It was a great purchase and has paid for itself many times over. I only wish that I had bought the 16' version.

Good luck

We have a B7200 that refuses to die. Bucket in the front and 'Boat large roto-tiller in the rear. If I needed to tow it would be rarely, and I'd use our 5-ton 16 footer...plenty of overkill but it's been on a trailer only twice in 10 or so years. As was posted, extend any implements to their maximum length, measure, and add least a foot or two on each end. Our cruiser tows it like there's nothing there. ;)

This place makes nice trailers for a variety of purposes, but shipping to MD might sink a deal. I have one of their utility trailers I picked up at the factory and couldn't be more pleased.

Agree, I notice on teh Big Tex I referenced the tires look a bit far back..which puts more load on the tongue....might not work for me...
