Yes, I'd take the signal from the connector back there. Of course, you are going to double check if this is the correct plug. You can probably even buy the OEM connector, if you don't already have one plugged into it. Let us know how it goes, I might just go the same route as my trailer turn signals seem to be intermittent, using the OE converter box.
Good idea about the connector, I'll reuse the one from my old harness that has gone out. The only thing I'm wondering about is the feedback. What causes the feedback? If I run off this connector, would I still run into feedback problems?
