Trailer Design (1 Viewer)

I'm stuck at home due to the frozen weather and I'm going nuts. So I started designing a trailer...I'm thinking of building one up if I don't find a cheap enough M101CDN/M416.
That's a Mombasa CTT I picked up cheap...going to either mount directly on the lid or on a tube frame up high.

Looks good, I am in the proces of buiding my own as well. I am finishing up rounding up parts that I will need to pull it off.

What are the box dimensions of your trialer, the numbers are fuzzy on the pic?

I got some input from Henry C. (Exiled)...the box is 6.5' x 4'..with enough height for an Engle/Slidemount.

Don't mean to hijack your design but here is a longer frames design that runs from the hitches to where the axle are. This layout is stronger and less prone to frame failure.

Also I added outer frames to protect wheel fenders from bending when rubbing the trees and rocks during tight turns.

This is what I did to my M416 trailer.

Cool...Good input snook. I was trying to keep the material cost down and still have a good frame, but I can see that the front frame member of my first design would be more stressed than all the rest.

I have seen the "A-arm" style draw bars tie into the front shackle hangers... maybe I am mistaken, but I thought that is how the m416's and similar are built?

Rezarf, yes, you're right, looking back to my photos during the M416 modification, the A frames did ended up where the front shackles are, not axle as I first thought.

Davegonz, hoped those photos may be useful for your trailer design.

The fender protector is also used as a step platform.
