Trail ride June????

I haven't had time to recon out those trails in GWNF. If anyone has a alternate idea or is familiar please speak up.

man u just get on the trails and keep going. if u dont want it to end . theres plenty of trails. Ive poped out all over wva from going in gw. U can have alot of fun. and in summer almost any vehicle with high ground clearnce can do 90 percent of those trails

June 16th is Tom's lean-to work day.
I'm gonna be heading somewhere for some light offroading on the 23rd or 30th(i'm thinking the 30th is more likely), but i dont know where just yet. It'll prob be around front royal if i'm driving the 40 instead of the 4runner.
I'm gonna be with a buddy new to offroading with a new to him truck, so we'll be doing easy stuff.
Right now we're thinking a day trip

There's been nothing on the Planetisuzoo thread regarding GWNF since late May. I posted there to see if Hack or Squatch are interested in doing the June 30th weekend. [EDIT] PMs from the Isuzu guys indicate that they are not likely to make it.

Labor Day looks like the next best shot?

I was thinking of riding that trail we did in november with an fj cruiser friend of mine to try out his new tires and leveling kit. But I'm having trouble finding out if the road is open this time of year.

We were thinking of camping on top of the mountain friday night. (if the weather looks good) I'm going to call the ranger when I get home from work tomorrow and find out if it's open and if we're aloud to camp there.

Your welcome to come both of us will have our kids in tow but your welcome to come. Unless you want to hit a closer/better spot that I dont know about.

i have a habbit of enjoying my self. and the vehicles can somtimes become the ones who suffer. The cj7 had a 327 out of a nova in it with a weak t5 and a dana 300 case with a amc 20 rear. Broke three or four trans output shafts spun the rear wheel berings and took it off the road. bought the cruiser. first one the oil pump went out on me replaced the motor . and somone got no proof who. took the cap off the valve cover where u add oil and they put rocks in the top of my head. lost power on one the pistons after that. then i bought a blazer threw the rod out the block on the way home after buying it the night i bought it . replaced the motor drove for a year. scraped it bought a work truck. then a 4x4 suburban still got the burban. its a 99. About to give it to my parents once i get this 4runner on the road. they just killed a honda, nissan truck and a chevy van in the past three months. i no shyt happens right .

i was game too, but i have a pretty sick niece in raleigh, so i am headed that way.
