What type of trails are you after?
This is by far the most popular book IMO:Amazon.com: Guide to Southern California Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails: Charles A. Wells: Books I'm sure plenty of people would provide advise as well if you let us know more specifically what you're looking for in a trail.

Just received my 850/860 springs & shocks this week, so any trail that my LX can handle once those are installed. To this point, I have only done fishcreek wash to the base of pinyon dropoff - loved it!

That book is great for the major trails in the area. There are a bunch of trails that are not in that book that are down off the 8 past Corral Canyon that I would love to go do some day. I have used that book for a few years now and have done about 1/2 of the trails in it.
