I have a 1974 FJ40 that I want to trade for a FJ55. The Cruiser has drum brakes, 4speed transmission and high low transfer case. There is power steering and it works great. The motor has been changed to a Chevrolet straight six 250. The floors have been replace and painted with Gator Gaurd. The rear quarters were patched with new metal panels. The top is in great shape and the drip rail is not rusted out. The wheels are chrome mod 15X8. The tire are 33-10.50 bfg MT. The tires are fairly new and have a lot of thread left. The suspension has been changed for HFS 2.5 inch lift and 1/2 inch greasable shackles. This is not a SOA setup. The bumpers are custom made using heavy steel. The Cruiser is painted Flat black with a white top. The front seats are recently recovered. It has a new poly tank and sending unit. The heater and defrost works. I had the radiator boiled and cleaned in the past year. I have also replace the slave cylinder, Cluch master cylinder and the brake master cylinder. The lights have been converted to Halogen H4 bulbs. Now for the bad stuff, the brakes dont work as good as i think they should, getting it checked out next week. The speedo doesnt work. The Inside of the cruiser needs to be painted to match the exterior. I have been contemplating painting the whole thing red including the interior. I am located in Gainesville, FL.
