I looked at an '07 LX tonight and have a few questions.

i noticed that the tire pressure monitor "set" switch and the Rear Side Curtain Air-bag switches were not back lit.

Is this correct OR is it possible that the backlight bulbs INOP?

I pulled the switches and the RSCA switch is backlit with a green bulb condom. Without the condom the switch is orange in color.
My bulb was just burnt out. Replaced and it glows as designed.

The TPMS switch is also backlight capable. However, my '07 LX is not wired for this switch to illuminate. There are only two wires coming from the TPMS control unit going in. It would be easy to light this though. All that is needed is 2 wire terminals and tap into adjacent illumination circuits.

The fold-mirror button is not back-lit and is not designed for it.

RSCA stands for Roll Sensing Curtain Airbag, and the switch is only for turning off the Roll Sensing function. The Side Impact function will still work.

Great little list on that link.

Ok since you already provided the answer I'll ask the question Haha.

What does RSCA stand for and what does it do?

You're welcome.

Nah - it's just that i saw it mis-named above, and it could be crucial to know the function of this switch, in some situations. Like switching it off when offroading, before you reach the critical inclination :whoops:. And that's when "Roll Sensing" is the important term.

My LX's lower panel has no illumination for the defrost switches and rear heat switch...

Bulbs are commonly called 'grain of wheat' and plug into the pc board with tiny rectangular blocks. Bulbs have a green condom.

Does anyone know the part number for these little guys?

Thanks

Steve

On that note has anyone ever heard of that actually happening. I mean I forget to turn mine off sometimes and I have taken the LC way past my comfort zone. Granted my comfort zone isn't that extreme but I've been wheeling long and hard enough that it is higher than most.

Find a suitable LED and you're fixed for life. I found some on dx.com. The green color is not a perfect match, but close enough. I think they also have those small bulbs btw.
