I'm 'bout ready.....picked up Goebs rig and loaded it up on Saturday afternoon....did some adjustments to the DMax today and the 40 has no oil leaks worth checking (AND it actually started!!)...tools are packed, parts are packed, water is packed, warm clothes are packed....hhhmmmmm

pickin up Goebs about 2:30 Thursday in Chicago, then off to Attica to watch the Packers beat the Cowpokes...

just gotta see if there is room on the trailer to squeeze my 40 on....might be a bit tight....

Woody, you probably know this already, but that game is not on network TV. It can only be seen on the NFL Network, which is Dish. I have cable, no game for me. Make sure the Attica Hotel has dish so you can watch Romo choke in front of his childhood hero (Favre)!!!!!

Not on at the Casa Gum. Wide Open West refuses to pay the extra .70 per subscriber the NFL wants for the Thursday night games so they black it out.

First of all, I think the red fj on the trailer is missing the hood "mud" stickers still...

Did anyone call Jeff to see if the game is on at his Hotel. I thought he had some package on the big tv in the bar area. Might be worth a call.

I'll be ready from 2:30 on at my place. If the pickup is much later due to the game stuff, let me know and I'll work a bit more. I love work!!!

Just spoke with Attica Inn and they think they have it on. They have ESPN and a few others, just not real sure if they really know...They thought it would be on that channel.

It was worth a try.

lol.....no surprise that they don't know.... "NFL Network?" "yeah, we watch football."

I'll have NFL-Live on the laptop, claims to do frequent updates.....I can live with that, plus Satellite for the pre-game on the drive down....

I had to call my cable provider to find out. The NFL is kinda poking the cable companies and most of them are either packaging the NFL channel with a premium sports package or not going for it.

I'm 6 of one, half dozen of the other myself. Drive down Thursday and stay there, or leave from home Friday morning doesn't make a lot of difference to me. I could see not wanting to do the drive from Appleton in the morning. That's a long haul, even for a professional driver.

I think the pillows at the Attica Hotel are weirdly shaped or something. I always wake up with a headache and feeling a bit queasy when I stay there.


We could drive all the way to Indy and invade SpaceGhost. Think he'll have it on at his place?

Was on the way home and saw a wayward Pig! Looks like Todd blew a tire on his trailer. We cruised the area looking for him but no luck!!

When we tried to leave we were almost accosted by a lunatic hitchhiker!

After interviewing him he stated he was an abused child a needed a warm place until his owner came back! So we gave him a comfortable place to sit until we can return him!

Now that I got him to my home. I can understand why he's abused!

Left him in charge of the rig and he runned off. Sumbitch.

I guess leaving him alone in the rain was enough to get him to abandon his principals and whore himself out to an OSU fan.

Obviously he was of weak moral character to begin with.



Threw the tread. No spare

Tried a couple of tire stores in the area, but they were all closed on Sunday. I was less than an hour from home so I ran back to the shop and swapped on a different tire.

5 new tires going on next week.

Woody was right in front of me, but there was no point in calling him. he didn't have my spare.

He probably wouldn't have molested my co-driver though.
