I lost the front passenger side door moulding recently while crossing a very fast moving river which tore it off. The vehicle is located at our house in Honduras and where I am for 6 months of every year.
I looked around at wreckers here, but couldn't find the part, but did foind a replacement at ToyotaPartsDeal.com and had it shipped to my freight forwarder in Miami, FL, for onward shipping to me in Honduras.
I ordered part (75731-60120-B0) worth $197 but received a different part (75072-0R010) worth $47
Since there was a delay in reaching us at our house in Honduras, the 30-day RMA window was exceeded.
I contacted them and eventually spoke to a manager, who said there was nothing that could be done, even though I had received the wrong item, since it was over 30 days. And they wouldn't refund the $150 difference over the value of the item I did receive.
Very poor customer service indeed!
In the meantime, I still need a moulding so if anyone can recommend someone I'd appreciate it!

Pretty sure there multiple reports of this company and all of their websites being thieves. They are scammers. It’s a broker site and they hold no inventory, offer virtually no assistance, have basically zero customer service and will not stand behind anything they do. They are not a dealer, they are web designers. This scum company has about a dozen parts websites across multiple platforms for multiple manufacturers. ALWAYS order the parts from a dealer. In instances like this, I do my best to warn others and take as much money from their pockets as possible. Research to make sure you don’t buy from their other sites such as Lexuspartsnow.

Contact your cc company and let them know. You’ll get the money that way.

Tons of very reputable dealer info here.

Good luck.

Similar experience here. They hold no inventory and reject any liability for you getting the part you ordered, deflecting blame to the source of the part. Their website is also highly inaccurate on what is actually in stock vs backordered vs NLA. Offer no help if your order doesn't go according to plan. I avoid them if at all possible.

I tried them. Complete cluster. Never again.

so, TPD isnt crooked or bad. theyre simply a drop ship vendor. they get your order and then it gets sent from a regional toyota warehouse, to my understanding. kind of like rockauto. if you have been burned, sorry. ive ordered thousands of dollars in parts from them over the past few years and not had issues. there are a few stipulations, i would say at least, you better be 1000 percent sure of what youre buying. do not rely on them to fix your f***-up. if there is an issue, you better make sure you can get it returned according to their rules, which are stringent. if you cant do these few things, pay the markup and buy it from a dealer.

Doesnt sound like it was his f-up, though.

Ive dealt with RockAuto on a number of returns and their CS is outstanding. TPD and TPN seem like hot garbage.

You can find parts from dealers cheaper than these drop shippers if you do some searching. Often with free shipping.

There are few threads like this, and they've sort of earned them. My only experience with them was hot garbage, so they're in the "never again" bucket. But my truck came with a stack of TPD receipts from the PO, so maybe they do OK with some folks. It just isn't worth it for me to experiment with my own money.

It’s that they don’t offer service for errors that are not the customer’s fault but that of an inperfect website or inaccurate inventory as mentioned. They draw people in with the low!prices. So when they won’t refund your money or tell you where your parts are if they don’t come, they are dishonest in my eyes. Customers expect service. I will spend that extra dollar to avoid foreseen frustration.

I'll be honest, I have ordered thousands of dollars in parts from them over the years and I've never had a problem. Recently, I did try to order a hood insulator for an 80 from them as they were about half the cost of the dealer. After ordering they notified me that it would have to be shipped from Japan and the shipping would be atrocious. I canceled the part and got a refund and got it from the dealer as the increased cost more than offset the cost of shipping. This is literally the only issue I've had over the years, and I struggle to even call it an issue.

I bought 2 80 series radiators from them within the last year. The first one worked out great but the second one had a hairline crack that I didn't find until I started it up. I called customer service to get a replacement and they said they would get back to me but they never did. Does anyone have any advice as How to get a replacement from Toyota?

I also ordered several different kinds of body clips Totaling close to 200 pieces in total. They took my money but several clips were missing.

I don’t think this company has any real customer service employees.

TPD doesn't hold any inventory so doesn't like to help with returns or issues. As far as I know they'd have to contact on your behalf the dealer parts counter (anywhere in the country) that fulfilled the drop ship order. Good luck.

Made an order in December, just received 3 of the 9 items on the order yesterday. No word from them about the rest of it. Stay away from these guys.

Lots of Mud supporting venders that would love to have your business for new OEM parts. Operators standing by. :)

We all make mistakes, hopefully we learn from them, the purpose of this section is to learn from others mistakes🍻

I was ordering OEM fasteners from them. Still missing a bunch of stuff. I found Ourisman Toyota in Richmond to be very reliable and responsive and quick delivery to me in NC so have switched vendors.

You folks in the USA are very fortunate in having a large number of dealerships.

There are two Toyota dealerships in my city. Owned by the same family and they truly suck and gouge like crazy.

There use to be one woman who worked there who use to give me a discount because I was going to buy a large order, $3k and growing.

Then she transferred to the Nissan dealership owned by the same family. Went in to order more parts and the new person would not honor the discount on my file.

That was the last time I purchased from them. So they have lost over $10k of sales in parts from me in 2 years.

Penny smart and dollar stupid.

Crickets chirping. Stay away from these guys.

Still staying away.
