Believe this is the 8/80-9/82 version. Unless I'm seeing wrong the shift lever is on the back side when mounted. When the H55F started 10/82 lever moved to the front side which assume was for clearance issue with the torque tube behind the transfer case. Looks like it is setup for rear output which assume can be switched to the front side.
Top left is one piece case. Top right is 8/80-9/82 split case. Bottom is 10/82+ two direction split case.
