I have wondered about this for some time so I thought I would ask. My passanger side front door window has the Toyota logo that is legable inside the truck. It actually reads backwards when viewing outside the truck. The driver's side window and the other windows as I remember are backwards inside the truck (to make them look normal outside when viewing I assume).

I belevie the passanger window may been replaced as it has some sort of tint film on it. The others have the factory tint only. It seems odd to me that the writing is different on the one window?

Any ideas?

Thanks

The front windows are tinted? If so, dark tint's not OEM. I would think the OEM windows would all have Toyota stamped on them...according to you, all legible from the inside -- why does this seem unusual?

What seems odd to me is the lettering is normal on the passanger window when viewing from inside. It is backwards on all the other windows when viewing inside the truck (except for the passanger side door which reads normal from the inside only).

The one window is different from the others.

Why this is of interest to me is it makes me wonder why this one door glass may have needed replacing (if it is not from the factory like this). At this point, more like a piece of trivia to me ;) .

Thanks

Andrew

Anyone have an idea on this as I would not think the glass is reversable from each front door, is it?

Thanks

Andrew

I took a look at the windows in my 450 today. Sitting in the driver's seat...the "Toyota" on the Driver window reads 'ATOYOT", the Passenger window reads "TOYOTA". All the other windows read "ATOYOT". Don't know why the Passenger side window is the way it is, but it sounds like yours and mine are the same.

So...your I take it that your rig's running well engough now that you're looking for things that might be a bit off? :D

I believe it is as simple as a single part for either right or left sides. The front side window glass appears to be flat so the glass will fit in either side. Sorry to bring an end to the grand conspiracy theory.

I just had to look after reading this :)
drivers side= TOYOTA=outside
pass side=ATOYOT=outside

front & rr side windows 03 4Runner

because the side windows are the same part either side...........

which is what Beowulf said......didn't see that till I posted ;)
