Tell us more about your trip. Is there a write up somewhere on your adventure?

Hey,

Yes it was and it is an great trip for us. You can find everything about this trip on rodiadventure.nl the translate to enlisch is bad sorry for that.

Haha and i wish that we find any buyer for it. Because we have 4 weeks for it to sell. And if that not working we have to ship it back. So if you now somebody let us now or share it please.

Tanks for you thread.

Hey Robert

Given your short time frame I recommend listing it on Ebay here in the US,it works a lot faster and better here for selling Cruisers then it does in Europe.

Also if you sell it here you probably will have to title it also in your name to make sure the new owner can transfer it in his/her name.

Hey Joe,

We try to put it on Ebay only problem is that ebay dont accept or VIN number. So we dont now how we can put it on Ebay anymore.

And the titel is no problem. We drive together to the Mexican Border and change the names on the new buypaper. But tank you for your advise!

Hey Robert

The vin is no problem just list it as a car older then 1981 and then make a note with the correct vin and year in the description that is how we all do it.

The title could be a issue that way,the US DMV can be somewhat difficult whenever we are talking about gray imports so I can only recommend that whoever imports it also titles it.Or make a bill of sale in Mexico and let the new owner import it to avoid any problems.

When I put x2, it means that I totally agreed with the previous poster said. In this case. I agreed with Joe Katana.

What a great trip. I met some folks from Belgium in Baja a few weeks ago who also shipped their vehicle to Uraguay and ended in the United States. Looks like a good route. One I hope to do in the reverse some day.

The import its easy for us so if you are interested let me now?

When you say it's easy, are you talking about the temporary import process? I've been through the temporary import before, but to do a permanent import into the United States, I think we'd need to go through a registered importer. Do you have an importer in Texas you can work with?
