I have being doing some searching and stumbled across this model Toyota Land Cruiser KZJ70

How rare Are they ? I see a few Vids with LHD

Hey heres some pictures of my KZJ71, its a great we truck 3L turbo diesel, big boost front mount intercooler and running Methanol Injection and a hole lot of other mods

My lj70 front and running gear end is kzj70...except for the chassis, thats still lj70..
 
Where is your 1KZ?:confused:

I am assuming he means it has a 3litre engine (1KZ) rather than it has the 3L engine (3.4litre). Ive seen this confusion before on other forums.

@ Landcruiser Power: if you are running a 1KT engine can you show us how fitter the intercooler, how you upped the boost and did you do any mods to the fuel pump?

3L = 2.8 litre

very rare even over at Japan! KZJ71 JDM:D

I would have thought the word "rare" a bit overkill,more like uncommon.
I think the UK got about 300 .
There is also the LWB KZJ78 4dr model which seems to be even more common and probably better just for the extra room.
 
How does this methanol set up work?

Also appreciate some further info on your boosty settings. My boost auto cut in comes in at circa 14bar.
 
Hey so I have a massive list of mods will just go into detail of the major ones.
So after doin the exhaust, next up front Mount Intercooler had to do a fair bit of planning to make it work, even with standard boost it was like adding a second gear, when i got it all plumped up Next I looked at chipping the truck, But for the same amount of money I decided to go with a hybrid mechanical fuel pump, that way no computer to grap out in the middle of no were. Man did this wake up the old girl, next upped the boost Im running 23 pound at the inlet manifold 25 pound at the CT12b turbo, Yeah I no what you are thinking he is running it out of its affective zone, buts thats were the Injection comes into play.
Ive got a size 1 nozzle spraying pre-turbo, now before this the turbo was hitting 130c no good, now the turbo is cold to the touch even after long periods of high boost, and im running size 7 nozzle at the inlet manifold, I have been running this tune for the last 60,000 km and fuel economy as improved by over 100 k per tank just shows how well you can tune these mechanical fuel pumps
 
The methanol injection is set up on progressive controller, so you can set it when ever you wont it to come in and it just ramps up as the boost goes up, since I have by passed the computer I can run what ever boost I wont, I have a turbosmart electronic boost controller takes care of the boost works great even with the standard factory waste gate will holed all the boost I need all day long, whats the deal with posting pictures it wont let me load any more up :meh:
 
Was expecting the mechanical fuel pump mod. Which fuel pump did you use?
