Toyota Insulator Hood

Hi,
while upgrading my front fro 2008 to 2016 using a kit (long story) the new hood came without the insulator blanket (part# 53341-60400).
How important is it to install suck insulator?
Any tips for 3rd party parts?

The big one for me would be preserving the paint on top of the hood.

The blanket helps prevent the heat from the engine bay transferring to the metal hood, which means it’ll be longer before UV and road use can degrade the clear coat and paint.
