Everybody hates on the new aggressive USDM 4Runner face and the aggressive Lexus face

Sales numbers would indicate they are huge hits (outside of our elitist Ih8mud bubble) in the real world and people appreciate the design language

One thing good with the 4Runner is, if you are an old blind Luddite you can buy the limited which has old ugly face. Rest of the modern world loves the 4 runner face aggressive

If toyota gave two faces to all models and let the market decide, very few people buy the non aggressive old style stuff

Ironically no one mistakes the new 4Runner and new LX as a lowly highlander (which seems to be bane of existence for 200 owners - who seem to buy their trucks to "stay under radar and not show wealth" and then come here and cry that they get no attention and they are mistaken for Highlanders)

Meh...the mistaken identity is mostly just amusing. We know what we have... Grills really aren't all that important in the vast scheme. But if asked my opinion of the LX grill? My take is...the LX grill is detrimental to the truck's off-road capabilities...so I find it an awkward piece of kit. The grill looks dramatic. But to me, "aggressive" is a design that helps you aggressively USE the vehicle's capabilities. The LX grill/bumper impedes off-road use and mods, so to me its just an impractical chunk sort of akin to those monster screens.

But...to each their own. You like it & my opinion is just that.

OTOH, the average LX customer doesn't use the truck off-road much anyway (mudder folk excepted)...so no biggie.
I guess "Meh" is still the word... :hillbilly:

Why is this in the 200 section?
It isn't a 200 series.

Mass confusion by the media primarily, and not locking it down when suggested allowed a lot more traction and speculation than was necessary LOL.

In honor of this thread I dub the unveiled vehicle as the Trailhawk edition of the Prado. :hillbilly:

Because OP, who is a 200 owner, doesn't know the difference between a Prado and a 200 ;)

Gotta love America. Rest of the world, this kind of mistake would be such an insult. Like mistaking Caitlyn Jenner for another sex...

?
...

M x E = I

where M=mistake, E=Ego, I=Insult & S=shrug

Otherwise...

M - E = S

It's simple mathematics! :hillbilly:
