Does anyone in the Greensboro area have a Toyota 4.7L crank pulley tool they would let me borrow? Im trying to get everything to the correct torque!

Hello, and congrats on your first ONSC post.

If you have access to a welder making one takes just a few minutes. If you do some research and can find out if the damper on a 3.4 liter 5VZ-FE is the same you are welcome to use the one I made. I live in Stokesdale.

-EDIT- Also, if you don't have access to a welder but can mock one up I'm happy to burn it in for you.

Thank you! Long time lurker! (before I created my profile)

I have seen several DIY tools (was going to use aluminum bar and some bolts) but didnt have a bit large enough for the socket hole, and wasn't going to get the CNC going for it. Now i'm in a pickle.

Ill send you a PM!

Well if you're setup for some CNC action then I need to be coming to your place!

Here is the non-CNC version.

I made one with a ~3-4ft piece of steel from Lowes. Drilled a hole with a hole saw and 2 bolt holes with a drill bit. Worked great! I’m in Durham otherwise I'd lend it to you. It'll be cheaper to make one of these than the gas to get it to you

If there's a desire, I can model this and cut a few out for people. Would probably be pretty cheap depending on the material thickness desired. Just need someone to send dimensions.

A popular tool, for sure, since it was used on so many motors.

I can confirm dimensions in acouple weeks (leaving on a trip). The bolts are M8x1.25 (I used 3/8" for clearance) , I believe spaced at 65mm. The crank bolt takes a 22mm socket, I think I used a 1 3/8" hole saw. The material I used was 3" wide 3/16" steel flat bar.

Nice work @rickycurrier !! I made something very similar for my 2nd gen 4runner (3VZ-E). I just did the timing belt on my LX470 and have a 1st gen Sequoia that will need it in a year or two so I bought a tool this time. I can HIGHLY recommend this...
