Hi All:

I vaguely remember hearing about folks using the front axle hubs from a IFS Toyota 4wd pick-up on Toyota solid front axles. Seems the IFS hubs are wider, acting as a wheel spacer on the solid axle? Any truth to this? Anyone have any info or links??

Thanks much!

Alan

Hi All:

Thanks Manny, I had already spent some time on Pir*ate reading.

Mace, thanks for the link to SKY - I could seem to find them using Google.

Regards,

Several years ago it was front range offroad that made the adapter plate to the use the IFS bearings hubs on a solid axle. Was basically a 3" spacer.

I'll be doing mine similar to the picture above, except using a rotor from a 4x4 Tacoma. Instead of mounting the rotor to the back of the hub like shown, the Tacoma rotor allows you to have a drop off rotor setup. I had to machine the ears slightly on the IFS hub where the wheel studs go, but everything bolts right up with the caliper on the outside of the knuckle ear. I don't have pictures yet since I haven't had time to work on it lately.
