I need to move my FJ40. It's in the middle of front axle work and has no front wheels. I'd like to get it towed to my new house and work on it there. Is this possible based on anyone's experience? Thanks.

Howdy! Easy if you can find an old fashion wrecker/tow truck with a hoist and tow bar setup. John

The tow guy is coming in an hour. He said he could do it "no problem." I really want to get this thing back on the road. It'll be my winter project. Been away from it for way too long.

Tow truck guy is flaking out on me. He said it might not happen today. I took the day off from work for this. Any recommendations on another guy?

Try one of these:

Fast Towing

Western Towing

Shamrock Towing (parent of Fast Towing)

Depends on where your located in town. Tell them you need a wheel lift to get the front off the ground as it's wheel-less. Some company's may not, but with a 40 they should be able to chain the front bumper to the wheel lift itself. One question I have, how is the 40 parked? Backed in or pulled in front ways? That may be the challenge!

Unfortunately I didn't back it in. The tow truck guy just called and said he could be there within the hour. I'll give him one more chance. If not, I'll call one of the other guys. Thanks.

The tow guy came, and it was worth the wait. The move went smoother than I could have expected. No scrapes or mishaps. The guy was a real pro and a super nice guy. Thanks to those of you who chimed in. Now it's on to putting it back together.
